This document is intended to help you in understanding the main functionalities of the site. To do this, we will walk through the steps of each function on the Sri Lanka Country Portal for a better experience.
These guidelines will help you build your own space within the Sri Lanka Country Portal as well as learn important user-friendly functionality.
Let's get started.
You will see Liferay's default home page:
Select your preferred language and login.
How can the user register for an account?
You can register for an account in the Sri Lanka Country Portal by clicking the Create Account button in the Sign In section as shown below.
You will be taken to the account creation page.
Entering to the Site
After entering the relevant information to the Create Account service, click the Save button to save account information.
Once you have become a registered user, you can sign in at any time using the Sign In link in the banner area,
or you can sign in using the Sign In section
How can the registered user add or remove a portlet?
To add a portlet to your preferred area, do the following steps:
After signing in, you will see the Add Services button in the top-left corner of the screen.
Once you click the Add Services button, the Add Services window will appear on the left side of the screen. You will be able to select any service from the given list.
You can also search for a particular service by entering the service name in the search input box as given below.
Once you select the service, you can either drag the particular service to the page or click the Add link.
Remove a Portlet
To remove a portlet from the page, click the 
icon in the service.
How can the registered user change the theme and layout?
To change the theme to a preferred theme, sign in to the site.
Then, click the Manage Environment button. The Manage Environment function will give you three options. To change the theme to a preferred theme, select the Manage Pages option from the drop down list as shown below.
Click the Look and Feel tab to change the theme of the complete site.
Select a theme and click the Return to Full Page link.
You will see that the theme has changed to the theme you have selected. To change the theme only for a specific navigation section, go to the Look and Feel tab in the specific section.
Return to Full Page.
Click the Return to Full Page link.
